It was suggested by my instructor to practice with a an airsoft or bb model; so I would not forget what I learned, while I was going through the vetting process. I ordered a few different models to help me make my decision when the time came for the real deal. This airsoft was perfect for helping me develop my skills without costing me lots of money.
