Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a thought-provoking read about a dying man with a keen sense of what really matters in life. The author has captured the spirit of Morrie and I thank him for sharing it with all who will read this book. Its been said, "We're not ready to live until we're ready to die" - Morrie was indeed ready to die as he inspired others to live their lives to the fullest.

On Being Thrifty
1 of 1 found this helpful I'm 62 and have been married for 38+ years. I was pleasantly surprised to find many hints on living frugally that I have not seen previously, even though I have always been considered a make-it-from-scratch person who tries not to waste anything. I learned many tips to help me save money - most useful especially now that our economy is unstable. We're trying to live debt-free and this book will help us achieve that goal. Many of the hints use products commonly located in many homes or readily available at local grocery or hardware stores. Many ideas use simple "ingredients" and avoid high priced chemical-laden products, a boon to our health and our environment.

The Color of Your Skin Ain't the Color of Your Heart,
Interesting novel about life for white and black survivors of the Civil War - thought-provoking, serious, humorous, eye-opening story of remaining true to Christian principles in the midst of post-war chaos.
