Apple Trackpad MC380LL/A A1339 Older Battery Style Model is Better
If Apple is really environmentally friendly, I am not sure why they are getting away with tried and true products that last forever. I purposely sought out the older style trackpad that uses AA batteries. As far as I can tell it has the main functions of the newer model. I have the keyboard that matches it, and it has lasted for years. I plan to get the older mouse too. You can still use just regular rechargeable batteries. With rechargeable models of their stuff, there seems to be no way for the user to replace the battery in current products, and they become disposable only for that reason. The trackpad works great, and I haven't had any bluetooth issues so far when using this with my Mac Mini 2020 M1. The trackpad takes some getting used to when replacing a mouse, but this trackpad works far better than the ones I have used so far on Windows machines. I've seen where there may be a Windows driver for this? As a plus, the battery compartments raises the product for the perfect angle. I recommend this product.
