Cheap Chinese knock-off
If you think this part is an OM made by Daiwa then you will be disappointed. The item was shipped on time and fits ok, but the release knob is unlikely to last past the first time using it.. it is very wobbly and it gets stuck more often than not.. You will be better off to find s used one or if Daiwa still makes them. But, if you have no other option then do what I did by one and hope you can catch one fish.. hopefully a salmon..

It will work if you install it correctly
I installed the housing unit on my 99 explorer and it seems to work fine. The unit is clumsily built with a visible gap between the two parts, but the saving grace is that the gasket will stop any leaks. My suggestion is to insert the screw in the back of the lower unit into its hole then slide the unit into position. Before you do that smear a thin layer of RTV on the contact surface of the engine before you insert the unit.. put the other two screws into their holes and screw them evenly until they are snug then tighten them to about one half turn, but do not over tighten them.. the back screw is difficult to tighten because the two sensors are sealed in with glue sealant. use a wrench that you can turn without taking it out.. Do the same for the upper piece.. hopefully it will not leak for a while.., good luck..

Good value and works fine
The outdoor sensor is reasonably priced compared to the mega e.store, arrived on time, worked after installation, and still working fine after a week. Draw back the wire connection fitting is not compatible with the old one, but it took ten minutes to make it work, just make sure to turn electricity off to the post when making the replacement.
