Canning and more. Works great with a thermal outlet.

My largest pot with water weighs in at 28 pounds. This hot plate showed no signs of stress. The coils heat up quickly and evenly.
I have mine connected to a temp controlled outlet set at med-hi with a heat probe that signals the outlet to supplie power as needed to the hot plate. Assuring that the temperature I preset stays on target.
