Very nice, crisp sound at a good price!
3 of 4 found this helpful I've only used this microphone for a few days... but first blush, I LIKE it! I have a much more expensive dynamic mic that I have always used for my voiceover work... I wanted to try a condenser mic without spending a LOT of money and since I was installing other M-Audio equipment, I decided to give the Nova a try.
The sound is much more "crisp" and very clean with what I would describe as a "more live" sound. By comparison, my dynamic is more bassy and as my wife even says, a little more hollow. What really surprised me is that it didn't pickup a lot of 'vibration' through the standard mount that comes with it.... not nearly as much as my other mic. Yes, if I thump the mic stand, you hear it, but no hum transmitted from equipment through the stand to the mic. And it is not nearly as sensitive to "across the room" noise as I might have thought... Good pickup pattern directly in front of the mic. I added a metal pop filter in front of it and it sounds quite nice... although, I do notice that it can be easily overloaded, so easy on the preamp volume.
I won't be throwing out my dynamic anytime soon, but I am certainly looking forward to using this Nova condenser mic. For the price I got it, a great buy!!!

Works great on local Verizon
1 of 1 found this helpful Took it to my local Verizon retailer and they checked the serial number, etc. and let me know it was good to go. We activated it and used it to replace a 3G Huawei box we had been using. The call clarity is SO much better with this 4G box. And it picks up 5 bars of signal with NO external antennas, whereas the Huawei box would vary in signal (could have more to do with being 3G) and had the big rubber ducky antenna sticking up. We also like the display on the box showing signal strength, number called/calling and time of call. Couldn't be happier, great product!
