Excellent writing
Janice Woods Windle is my favorite author. Hill Country is such a good book. It is an historical fiction based on real characters, Mrs. Windle’s ancestors. It can be a hard read as it deals with real life situations of the time period, like Indian attacks. I read a review where the person didn’t care for the politics, but that was part of the true history of her family. They were Southern Democrats and they were friends with the Lyndon Baines Johnson family. The dust jacket on this particular copy is so beautiful with blue bonnets, Longstreet Press. Another copy of her novel, True Women, was to be published by Longstreet Press with a beautiful bluebonnet dust jacket, but unfortunately Longstreet with out of business. I highly recommend Hill Country; beautiful descriptions of the beautiful land. Texas proud! Also recommend True Women and Will’s War.

Awesome quality measuring cups!
If you can love a set of measuring cups, I love these! They are nice quality and you can feel the quality when you pick them up. The handles are the perfect length and shape to hold. They are stainless steel! They are nesting and come in 6 usable sizes. I highly recommend these measuring cups. If you are trying to decide from several other selections, choose these!

Delicious!
Lots of delicious recipes. Very practical and easy to follow. Cookbook is well written and the presentation makes it very usable.
