Accurate if
I purchased this because the Polar chest strap and software that came with it was very good. I use that for HRV monitoring, but like many people, I am not a fan chest straps for exercise due to poor comfort. And I wanted something that could cover gym, bike, and swim. This seemed ideal for all that.
As long as it's accurate. After 3 days of use I was thinking of returning due to it being inaccurately inaccurate: off by 6 to 40 beats and inconsistently so. So being a genius I thought why not try one more time, but instead of wearing it like a traditional watch I spun it over to give it a chance on improved vasculature. That is where the radial and ulnar arteries pulse, so maybe, is what I was thinking. And, Lordy, it found accuracy. I am so happy.
FWIW the strap it comes with is acceptable, but I switched to a 20mm from Barton and it's perfect. Easier to put the watch on and to twist it over for exercise sessions doesn't even require unlatching.

Good mid-zoom for Dx
5 of 5 found this helpful I'm a prime shooter but wanted to try a mid-zoom and figured the D500 would do a fine job, while at a much cheaper price point than Fx options.
Focus is not slow. Sharpness is not prime quality but still decent for people. Converts to BW very nicely. Focus ring is a bit snug. If I paid full price I'd be disappointed but at ~$600 it is going to be well enjoyed.
