Nothing But the Higest Regard for This Video

This video is relatively short with a run time of 28 minutes, but it packs loads of information inside. I am an engineer and I was very impressed with the content and delivery. It is very easy to follow, has a fun format and kids and adults alike love it. My 5 year old took the dvd to school for his personal share with the rest of the class day and for the next two weeks the other parents were asking me about the dvd. The dvd helps little kids and big kids :) understand what goes on to build a house. They understand their house better and they learn more about the neighborhood in which they live. The movie has something about every step of building a house starting with choosing a construction site to moving in. I would say this dvd is targets children ages 4 1/2 to 12 but I would honestly think that all of the parents would be very interested in watching this dvd also . . . maybe not 30 times like the kids but definitely 2 or 3 times for sure.

Excellent Standardized Second Grade Reading Book--I would Recommend!

An excellent reader for the second grade. This text book was purchased to duplicate school issued text at a very good Florida private school. Now there can be no 'I forgot my book(s) or worries about a bookbag that is too heavy. The children at the school love the interesting stories and parents love the quality of education and attention to detail provided. The text does an excellent job of getting your child on grade level and acquiring the skill set necessary to be sucessful in sequential grades. As an educator in higher learning I would recommend this text, along with supplemental grade level appropriate reading books (ie. chapter books, short novels) as a very sound foundation in reading skills.

Sony RMT-D152A Remote Control--Very Limited TV Controls

PROS: This is a nice remote control. In Sony fashion it is intuitively easy to operate, especially if you have had other sony equipment. It seems pretty durable and large hands can easily use the buttons. CONS: This is a true Sony remote made by Sony but it has extremely limited tv functions. The only television functions are: Volume up/down, television on/off, and tv/video and that is it. No channel up/down, no jump, no mute, simply nothing else. I was very disapointed as I own 4 sony televisions and all television remotes operate all sony televisions and operate sony vcr's (if you still have one) and sony dvd players. Recommendations: Get a good sony remote and skip this item unless you are seriously into the non-novice functions like zoom and viewing from different angles. The kids and I just push play, pause, skip, and menu. The sony television remotes to a lot more than just this.
