This is NOT INDUSTRIAL-HEAVY DUTY. It is a light duty plastic, flexible picker that may pick up a can of soup without breaking. It will pick up small objects with ease such as coins, marbles, bolts etc. The hinged shaft seems more for shipping ease than any other use and is a weak point. Get the aluminum picker with the suction cups at Home Depot.
