OK for Large Headphones or Car - Bad for Earbuds or In-Ear-Monitors
Pros:
- The device offers a very large battery for pretty much all other Bluetooth powered receivers in it's price range.
- The range is good for about about 15 ft, anything beyond that it's starts to cutout, but that's not a real problem for my use case.
- Offers additional sound effects - while I don't care for them personally, I can see where it might add values for others
- Can drive large headphones with ease - This has zero problems amplifying large headphones (over 50 ohms) and likely much larger if I had a set to compare against.
Cons:
- Background hiss - this could be a serious deal breaker if anyone plans to use this with low impedance headphones or earbuds or in-ear-monitors (IEM). I found the hiss to be extremely bad in my Shure SE215 IEM and equally bad for some Apple earbuds. It has a constant background hiss that is apparent at all audio levels. For my larger HiFi-Man HE-400 headphones with slightly higher impedance, the hiss is inaudible, which is great, but still audible in my Audio Technica WS99, not so great. - For reference, I have an Mpow device which has zero hiss at any levels, so I was hoping this device to offer zero hiss as well, but sadly it does.
- AUX in - does nothing to amplify sound and rather worthless addition. Not sure why they have this...
- Loud pop at disconnection - there is a full volume beep when the device is powered off and it can be very painful if you are not aware of it when you still have your headphones on OR your car is audio system is on. I wish I could disable this "feature".
- Size - compared to other devices, it's considerably larger, this can be good or bad, depending on use case. I ended up purchasing another device for my portable headphones since this was too large and has hiss issues. I'll use this in my car instead since it'll meet that need and still be useful in that application.
Would I recommend this?
Maybe...if you plan to use this in a car or have high impedance headphones, it's passable. Otherwise I'd look into another device that doesn't have any hiss, even if the battery life is shorter.

Low capacity battery
I first thought I got a faulty battery because the battery lasted less than 8 hours after charging for over 12 hours. I charged the battery for 3 days, 12 hrs each time, as the seller suggested, but it was still not able to last 8 hours. I'm pretty sure the capacity of the battery is not 1000 mAh. I bought an OEM battery to compare, and it took over 24 hours before the battery was fully charged, but it lasted over 24 hours before it died.
Would I recommend this battery? No

I should have bought this sooner
Coming from the original Apple band, this Nike+ sport band breathes so much better. It's far more comfortable to wear without any irritation. I should have bought this sooner!
As for being used, it was in good shape without any major blemishes. Would recommend it if you don't mind using a used watch band.
