Not for my application.

Use code, then REBOOT after installing.
Had to spend an hour (with wait time) to tech support, after using codes and installing new download. Codes worked, but McAfee's installation instructions didn't bother to tell you that you must reboot. Until I rebooted (at Support's suggestion), my old subscription continued to show in my McAfee window, telling me my subscription was expiring in 2 days. Reboot fixed it.
