Useful accessory
I have been looking for these everywhere as I owned a few over the years. Walmart was selling these for many years under the brand Puritan. Then, suddenly, they disappeared from the shelves. I bought a couple back then and just pulled out my last one to use. Anyway, Walmart was selling these for... $3.97. Yes, genuine, grained, leather, almost exactly like the one pictured except for the thumb card slide out cutout.
There is a famous wholesale chinese site that sells these for... $0.7 - $1.5/piece, but you need to buy a minimum of 500 pieces. These are made under various brand names and I am sure it's the same manufacturer, but look at the retailers' price gouging for these items.

Fragile, not for beginners
Wire is completely horizontal and it's a pain for beginners as the arrow falls of the rest all the time. Also, wire is very fragile, it just snaps in lower half like a sewing needle, made of carbon steel, I guess.

Boston Acoustics is a veteran audio manufacturer
1 of 1 found this helpful For the size you can't expect a ground shaking bass, it's only 8" woofer; however, this is a sealed woofer, so no boomy bass here. Bass is tight and controlled. Satellites are a good quality, give you crispy highs. Other bells and whistles may come in handy (remote, optical-in, bluetooth, AUX1, AUX 2, etc.) My old Boston Acoustics PC ported woofer+satellites (circa 1997) failed last year. Its hidden 6.5 woofer surround rotted. I fixed it with silicon sealant :) pretty well, though. I am happy this will become a good 8" woofer upgrade as I don't have a lot of space for this.
As far sound cutting out in other review, here's the advice. Modern woofers use sound sensing feature for power saving, so your input needs to be the highest level to keep BA system on and awake. You use the BA woofer/amp to control the sound output with volume buttons on the remote. And, everything will be just fine.
