Worked Well on Yellowed Whites
1 of 1 found this helpful This worked great on yellowed whites that were yellow due to wear and bleaching.
Even after washing, there was a definite chemical odor left on the clothes that took 3 or four laundry cycles to get rid of.
Using the stove top method left a lot of permanent wrinkles which is one of the dangers mentioned on the box.

Great Lens at a Low Price
This is a a really nice fixed lens. Smaller and lighter than zoom lenses, it's wide aperture range makes this a nice choice for portraits or just shooting.
While the 35mm fixed lens is the normal lens, it is nearly double this price and there is no barrel effect with the 50mm.
Also, the F1.4 lenses are far more expensive than this lens and not worth the extra cost to most people.
One minor downside to this lens is in auto-focus mode, the focus ring moves with the motor. You must not be holding the focus ring when the auto-focus motor engages, or you may damage the camera or lens. So far, this has not been a problem for me. The small size and light eight of the lens means your are more likely to be supporting just the camera by the body.
Also, if you buy this lens new, for a limited time, Nikon is giving a 5 year warranty.
For the cost, I am very happy with this lens.
