Great on carpet and hardwood.

However, when it gets on the carpet and has work to do, the beater brush has a tendency to stop, which then makes me have to turn it off and back on again. I did try adjusting the suction so it wouldn't have to work as hard, but it didn't help. It is really great on hard wood floors though! the canister removes easily too. One thing I would have changed/added was to make the extra attachment for the hose longer, or added 2 tubes to the package. It makes getting behind and under furniture where the actual vacuum can't reach, difficult.
