No Retraction.
It is supposed to retract when the rear door is raised and it doesn't.

Absolutely Fabulous!
Didn't use it right away because Itunes was out of sync with my Windows computer. When it finally got straightened out and I downloaded all the music for my husband, I haven't been able to get that darn thing out of his ears. He loves it and so do I. Great buy!
