Compelling Little Book About The AVRO Arrow
In the early 1950s, all the major air forces of the world were fighting to produce the best performing jet fighters, giving their militaries potential air superiority. This is the story of a little-known project by Canada and the A. V. Roe company, a relatively small and inexperienced aviation company. The AVRO Arrow C105 engaged all kinds of problems from engineering challenges to bureaucratic traps to be a stunning example of how a modern jet fighter could perform. I risk giving away a part of the story, but the Arrow set records that the major powers couldn't achieve with the fighters from much larger design and production programs. I recommend the movie "Arrow" by Dan Aykroyd, but this little book gives a lot of background and explanation about this fascinating airplane.

SodaStream Dr. Pete Syrup Is A Favorite
Only 4 stars because...well let's face it, it doesn't taste exactly like Dr. Pepper or even Mr. Pibb, for that matter. But its Dr. Pepper-like like taste is still pleasing. The syrups are produced according to the Israeli company's high standards. SodaStream syrups deliver more finished soda per unit of syrup than the syrups used for fountain drinks, which results in cost savings and a lower cost in storage space. Just be aware that this is due to the use of sucralose...including the non-diet version. If you are going to drink soda at all, this seems to be a tasty choice.

Punches Above Its Weight
I bought this video card for my nephew who is intensely interested in wringing the absolute most of older tech. Along with the proper motherboard, this video card can be pressed to perform as well as the middle tier of current tech. This was a very cheap way to achieve acceptable frame rates at close to max settings with newer games. In that regard, it was a great bargain!
