makes the job considerably easier.
3 of 3 found this helpful First, obviously, it keeps the film in the right spot for scanning. But the first time I used it, I used it with PhotoShop's import wizard. This gave less favourable results than just placing the film directly on the glass. But using with the Epsom software, the scan for whatever reason came out a lot better, but more than that, the software detected each slide of the 35mm film and scanned to seperate files. This has made the job of bulk scanning far less laborious.
So if you don't have one of these, perhaps you bought your scanner second-hand and are wondering if it's worthwhile, it is very much so if used in conjunction with the Epsom software. Not sure about VueScan.
The top piece feels a bit flimsy and ill-fitted, but it doesn't really make any difference so not a big deal.
