Replacement for a friend.
2 of 2 found this helpful My trusty 40+ year old paring knife went missing (probably mistakenly thrown in the trash) leaving me without one of my best buddies in the kitchen. He wasn't pretty. His high carbon steel showed his years of experience, but he was still as sharp as a tack and comfortable to work with. After an appropriate mourning time (two days) I knew that I needed to find a new workmate. After checking out several resumes I hired this classic knife. He looks much better than my lost friend, and he's every bit as sharp and perhaps more well balanced than the "old guy". I've worked him hard for a couple weeks, and he shows no signs of wear, though I have thought of using a steel on him, just to keep him honest, (actually honed up). There is a big difference between cost and value. This wonderful knife will, hopefully, be with me for the next 40+ years, so I consider it an excellent value.

Quick set, or extended performance.
I have a hard copy of this wonderful book, and wanted to share it with a few friends. Being a musician, the one thing I know is that musicians love to talk about their "gigs" and about those priceless things that happen spontaneously while on the job. This book is about the most interesting book about that type of thing, but with the "biggies" in the business. My copy has a prominent place in my "John". Be it a quick set, or an extended performance, this book is easy to open up and find material well worth reading. I highly recommend this even for the casual lover of jazz.

So far, so good.
So far so good. My drill's original batteries failed, and though I could buy replacement batteries for it, the cost was about the same as buying a new drill with batteries. This after market battery, however, seems to be well worth the money. I haven't used it very much yet, but I'm hopeful that it will service me for at least as long as my originals did. Time will tell.
