Best Metronome for Horns
Simple, effective, pleasant timbre, loud enough to use with tenor saxophone. Great value. Most highly recommended.

Great Bass If Fretted
1 of 1 found this helpful I so enjoy my fretted NS Design CR4 that I tried the fretless version. Wonderful tone and ergonomics, ebony fingerboard feels fantastic under flats with fabulous mwah and glis.
However, the small dot markings for low positions are obscured by the E string, and also sharp (too far from nut) by a 1/16" or more. In my concept of fretless markings, they should intonate correctly with your finger directly on them, not offset by an arbitrary distance. I confirmed their misplacement with a strobe tuner and directly comparing the fretboard to my fretted CR4. Finally, the 3/5/7/9/12... dot markers on the side of the fretboard do not match the dots on the fretboard--the side markers do correctly locate where a fret would be and are offset from the fretboard face dots by about 1/16".
If you ignore the markings and play by ear as would upright, then this is a fantastic instrument. I am not so capable. Looked into having dots filled and lines placed in correct positions, but too expensive and troublesome for a new instrument so I returned it.
