Can be good starter horn
I have purchased five of these for resale. They can be a good starter horn. I have tried other brands and the Allora or Tromba horns are the best. They have stainless steel valves and an actual lead pipe. Like anything they are not indestructible. The finger hooks and water keys are the most vulnerable. The basic body of the horn is very sturdy and they are low maintenance. I don't favor the plastic mouthpieces that come with them. An actual brass mouthpiece will give it a better sound and they can be picked up pretty cheaply. The intonation is fairly accurate and they are easy to blow; however the more air you put through them the better they sound. Some other plastics are very hard to blow which is a handicap for a new student. They do not replace a brass trumpet; but they have a place in the grand scheme of things. I would use them with my students. It's an inexpensive way to get started.

Pretty well works as advertised.
I bought it to mellow out a harsh mouthpiece and it does take some of the harsh edge off the sound and also adds some body to the sound. It does not fit all mouthpieces. I had to make it fit mine. Does not perform miracles; nothing does. You can hear a noticeable difference.
