Fully functional plastic knock-off of original

while this is an inexpensive plastic imitation of the higher quality jewelers/surgical original it is fully functional and works well. Item works as expected. Optics are plastic. The LEDS are directionally fully adjustable to the viewing field. The distance between the two eye loupes is NOT adjustable however so full stereoscopic vision for some people with a distance between pupils that isn't average could be a problem (forcing you to close one or the other eye). (a good modification would be to make the eye looupe distance adjustable. Can be used with the standard ear pieces OR the head hugging elastic band which is also included (A+++). All in all...many of the benefits of the original at a fraction of the cost of the original. RECOMMENDED for amateurs/hobbyists in Electronics (SMT technologys), Gemologists (mineral /rock sample inspections), stamp collectors, coin collectors, science/biology experimenters, jewelery makers, and any other hobby / educational/ scientific pursuits that require magnification, lighting and close inspection.,
