No more struggling to raise the hood far enough to get the support rod in place..... and eliminates the possibility of a nasty bruise if it falls on you..... good quality, easy to follow instructions and installation by anyone even remotely comfortable with a few simple wrenches..... I'm happy to have installed it..... my only question is why Jeeps don't come with these already installed!! Thanks. Mark
