Fast, compact prime at a reasonable price.
Sharp, fast, and reasonably priced prime lens that's a beautiful complement for my Olympus Pen-F M43 camera. Perhaps my only complaint is that the lens seems to be mostly plastic. If you purchase one, make sure it includes the removeable end ring and, if applicable, the hood that can be fitted in place of it. One additional gripe is that the silver of this lens is a little different than the silver on the Pen F body...and there's also another Zuiko prime lens that uses a slightly yellower silver that also doesn't match.

We've gone "all-in" with Ring
We first heard of Ring when searching for a doorbell for our new front entry door. Our house is from the late 40's, and doesn't have a hardwired doorbell circuit...so door knockers or something more modern were our only options. Looking at the Ring, with it's on-board battery and wireless connectivity, was a no-brainer. We loved the doorbell and when an incident occurred in our neighborhood with cars being rifled through in the middle of the night, we bought a first and then a second stick-up camera.
Where we have this one mounted the sunlight is good enough even in the winter for the solar panel to keep the battery charged...but it's easily accessible via a window, and I can always bring the camera inside to top up the charge if needed.
Ring is constantly updating their app, and recently rolled out instant access Live View to not only its stick-up cameras, but also the doorbell, which was a huge plus for us. We can access it anytime, but are also notified if the camera sees movement in the wide angle frame.
In short, we love it, and will likely grab one of Ring's forthcoming outdoor flood lights as well.

A whole new world of possibilities
2 of 2 found this helpful I'll have to admit, this is my first wide angle zoom, and I tried to buy the best one possible for my D3 based on the reviews. I had to settle for a used lens, in excellent shape (of course), but in general I've been shocked by what's now possible since the lens arrived.
Most importantly, I'm very impressed with the lack of distortion...while looking through the viewfinder and panning the camera/lens you can tell that the glass is doing a lot of work to achieve straight lines where expected. The angle of coverage seems like 160 degrees or more. Picture clarity, even around the edges, is excellent even at 2.8.
IMO this lens is worth the high cost, but you may be able to offset some of the expense by finding a used but well cared for example.
