Essential upgrade to Prusa i3 kits
1 of 1 found this helpful After blowing out a ball bearing LM8UU and scratching a rod with another, I upgraded to these. What a difference. Note that these are so precise that I had binding of the X axis when I had the tie wraps too snug. I loosened the wraps slightly in the zone of the binding, then applied RTV to secure the bearing in its happy place. Apparently the rods and the X carriage were slightly off axis. Y axis was no issue. Make sure you order enough. I had to order twice. Can't count, apparently.

Finally a proven legacy UPS that actually works!
I already own 3 APC BR550G family UPS's. The big flat-on-the-floor kind with the G suffix. I tried a newer more vertical form factor APC UPS, and when we had a power outage the unit constantly switched in and out, the change-over relay clicking loudly. I could no longer trust it, so I bought an A****n brand UPS after reading the reviews. It kept turning itself off at random times, dumping my router, so I exchanged it for another. The replacement did the same thing! Returned for credit! So here I am, buying a proven refurb UPS with a new battery for half the price. It actually works! Thanks!

Easy fix. I just needed the gears off the front.
1 of 1 found this helpful Easy fix. I had a cracked gear that let the valve rotate beyond "off" and drip. I simply slipped the old gears off the shaft of the original cartridge and slipped on the new ones. I never got into the wet part. This is the second time I've had to do this repair in 7 years (different shower this time). I keep spares on hand now.
