OK, but no shield on mic line.
The cable itself appears to be good quality, however a close inspection revealed there is no shielded microphone line in this cable. All wires within the cable are straight through pins 1-8. While this has not been a problem in initial testing, there could be circumstances where not having a shielded mic will pick up extraneous hum or other RFI/EMI from nearby devices such as transformers, fluorescent lights, other radios, etc. YMMV

Commscope 540ADF Connector
These connectors for the CR540PE cable are obsolete now, however for amateur radio use they are far better quality than any of the consumer offerings. With the cable coring tool they are easy to install. Once installed correctly they will simply do their job, and can handle high power effortlessly.
