It can connect iPhones and iPads via Ethernet

It's only Fast Ethernet (10/100), but it works well. Combined with the Lightning to USB 3 adapter and a USB power adapter, it allows you to connect iOS devices to the network. Great if you're in a place with bad cell phone reception AND bad wifi. Even phone calls and SMS will work. (If your carrier supports wifi calling)
