Good Product...Comcast does everything to mess it up.
11 of 12 found this helpful A good modem, fast and good range (2 rooms away and outside). Comcast, though as the provider, does everything in their power to not make it an easy setup! It took hours on the phone for them to drop my old one and add this new one. Then, they switched it back to my old one.
Thank goodness I new a little about what they were doing and told them it all was in their setup. Finally, they acquiesced and set it up right.
Then, I turned my old modem in and they had the gall to turn it off again. Another hour on the phone to get them to redo the settings.
My advice is to be persistent as hell with Comcast because they do everything in their power to keep the $10 modem rental per month.
This Arris is a good model and if it includes a battery, all the better!
(Note: the Wi-Fi light blocks continually, but it is totally operational...Comcast will try to tell you otherwise.$
