New Battery Renews My Nuvi
Without this battery and tool kit, my Nuvi 1450 was becoming useless when unplugged. Called Garmin and their only solution was to toss the GPS and buy another one. They were no help. So, I searched out a How-To video, found this kit, and BING BANG BOOM I'm back in business. Less than $20 saved me nearly $200. Took about 15 minutes. It takes a little skill, don't get in a hurry, and be gentle with the pry tool. Excellent life hack.

Nice look but poses a cutting hazard.
Note, I am a very exacting person and I was looking for an exact product. This was the closest one I could find. I had just purchased a Kraus kitchen sink and although I haven't installed it yet, I really like the look of it. I figured another Kraus product would be nice and this one had a good price on it. I have 2 cats and needed a toilet paper holder with a shield on it and this seemed to be a quality product that filled my needs. It does except for one problem: sharp edges. Having worked in multiple machine shops I can tell you with experience the importance of eliminating sharp edges from products that are meant for human contact. This thing cut me getting it out of the box. The sharp edges are along the square base plate that mounts against the wall and when I say sharp, I mean it. How this got by quality control at the factory is obviously an oversight. If you order one of these be aware of the possibility of being cut. Also, and this is minor but noticeable, the roll does not center up on the device. It hangs out from under the shield on the insert end. So far the kitties have not discovered this and I'm hoping they don't. On the plus side this does handle the larger rolls, something many other products do not. I like the look, it mounted easily although the hex wrench they supplied was really awkward to use, and as long as I don't run my fingers along the base's sharp edges and pointy corners, I can live with it.

The Little Clock That Couldn't
Although I count myself as one of the few people in my age group that was fortunate enough to "get" technology and not get befuddled too easily, I have to count this clock as a complete waste of time. The physical design does not incorporate the basics of human interaction from the start. The instruction sheet to begin with is of Asian origin and it's English translation is of no use whatsoever. There is no way to tell if the alarm is set or off. There is no way to tell which button activates the snooze feature. Switching between modes is anything but clear and concise. The dial is unevenly lit. The list goes on. In short, save yourself the time, money, and trouble. If you need a battery powered, travel size alarm clock, get thee to a store where you can perform a hands-on demo. This product is pointless.
