Pretty doll with a great articulated body
1 of 1 found this helpful I love the Made to Move Barbie bodies, the articulation is truly spectacular and I was pleasantly surprised that the dolls look better in real life than they do when photographed. The MtM Barbie with the purple top has the Lea head sculpt, which is one of my favourite sculpts. She is very simple, elegant and pretty. The hairstyle and makeup are minimal, but they work with this lovely face. The only fault I can think of is the fact that her head is full of glue, like with most Barbies that come out of Mattel these days. If this bothers you, then stay clear of this doll. Personally, I will be rerooting her, but not everyone has the time or the patience to undertake this. I would not recommend this doll for young children, because her numerous joints make her pretty fragile and easy to break, but for older girls, she's be a wonderful toy that offers lots of creative opportunities.

Pretty doll, but impractical body and terrible outfit
2 of 2 found this helpful I only got this doll to complete the collection. The head is great, I love the facial screening and the hair styling, but the dress is terrible quality. I hate the shiny stickers on it; how hard would it have been to at least print the emblems? The material is cheap, crumples easily and is difficult to straighten out because the heat of the iron melts it. Another pet peeve are the shoes which don't fit on her feet and can't stay on. The shoes are completely useless and I had to replace them. She looks cute on the shelf, very compact and nicely designed, so if you are going to display her (or keep her in the box), she's a better investment than she would be to debox, play with, or redress. Her arms are permanently bent and in order to redress her in anything else, you'd have to rebody her, otherwise she'll look ridiculous with her arms exposed. The material of the dress is very poor and low quality and wouldn't endure any wear and tear. The shoes will get lost at lightning speed since they can't even fit on the feet, let alone stay on. While I love the way her hair is styled, it looks fragile and like it could be easily be ruined, while proving rather difficult to fix. Overall, there are better Barbies out there. Unless you are collecting dolls and need her to complete a collection, I would suggest choosing something else. I would definitely not recommend her for children.
