Quite good for what it is
It's not very loud, it really helps keep me cool and dry. I'm not sure if it's better backward or forward but it makes a big difference for sure either way. I have it plugged into a nice beefy USB hub with external power and 2.4amp non-data ports, which is where I plugged this into, with an extension. The brief refreshing cool feeling when I flip a pillow over is cooler than using the COFIT, but only for a few seconds, then I'm uncomfortable again, but the COFIT keeps me comfortable. If I use the COFIT and blow a fan on myself, I dry off and cool down pretty quickly. I am about 183cm/6' and 72kg/160lb male and I am glad I finally actually bought one of these. It's nowhere near as nice as having air conditioning, but it's really nice considering. I have a 12v version of this product in my car with the back as well as seat, and that is much louder than the USB powered COFIT.

Plug + Play, fast and simple
I haven't had it for more than a few weeks, but so far it works great, increasing my laptop RAM capacity helps it run faster and keeps it from freezing up when I browse with lots of tabs open.
