Outstanding Speakers
3 of 3 found this helpful I previously owned the RF-7’s for over a decade and they were perfect when I sold them. I purchased the RF-7II’s and have now had them for almost two years and they just sound better and better as time goes on. The crossover is better designed than their predecessors and they’re not as bright as the original RF-7’s either which makes them even better for 2-channel music listening. I love these speakers and will keep them for at least another decade.

Not what I expected
I expected this cymbal to sound a lot more clean and sharp and not so trashy. I’ve now tried just about every Paiste line except for the Signature series. I prefer bright cutting cymbals without having to mic them. I’m leaning that I’m really more of a Zildjian and Sabian guy. I do have a couple of Paiste 602 crashes and a pair of 14” 602 circa 73’ sound Edge hats that sound great!

Unbelievable sound quality......
I've been a Klipsch fan for a long long time.... Being an audiophile, I've never been a big fan of in wall/in ceiling speakers until now... The Klipsch R-5650-S II is a very well designed speaker, especially if you're using them as side or rear surround speakers as I am. With their dual 1" opposing tweeters and 6 1/2" woofer they are perfect for bringing the front and rear soundstage together filling everything in between with authority! Especially being a very efficient speaker at 92dbls, which is very rare for an in wall speaker. They play mid bass frequencies down to 45hz with ease. So if you wanted to, you could set them as "large" in your receivers speaker set up menu. I still prefer the THX standard crossover setting at 80hz, but I love the option that I could set them to 45hz if I wanted to. Very efficient design and incredible power for an in wall speaker! They're easily worth their suggested retail price at $399 each, but at this price for the pair it's a no brainer.
