Failing system
I bought the system and it has served me well. Ive grow to like it and really dont want to change it. Here is the issue. After years of flawless operation, one of the handsets began to die quickly. No problem, I just replaced the batteries with the Panasonic rechargeable type. Then, another one began to die, so this time I tried Duracell rechargeable batteries. The new Panasonic batteries failed after a few months, and then the same with the Duracells. So no I went and bought a new handset. Same thing, batteries die as soon as the handset is removed from the charger.
I have tried cleaning the battery ends. I have tried cleaning the battery terminals/connections in the handsets, I have tried cleaning the charging terminal in the chargers. I have tried changing chargers. I have plugged the chargers into different outlets.
Bottom line...I have this Panasonic system with base unit and 4 handsets. Replaced 4 sets of batteries, replaced 2 of the headsets, and it still does not work.
