Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut - The Ruling Supercooler (If you buy enough of it to make it cheap enough!)
4/5 Stars, just because of the price. In short, buying 5.5grams of this stuff makes it cheap enough to be the uncontested winner's choice (on this occasion anyway) !
I'm a frequent user of Arctic Silver 5, which is a superb performer in the smallest syringes that I / we usually buy and great for pretty much any CPU solution. I STILL recommend it too as it's still much, MUCH better value for money than Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.
However, two things make Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut irresistible: -
1. Even better heat transfer meaning drops of up to 10 Celsius are possible, depending on the cooling setup and case breathing, of course.
2. It is electrically non-conductive so you can use it on GPUs (and 'open-topped' CPUs) as well.
The second point is a big one for me as graphics card manufacturers often advertise cards as "quiet" when what is actually happening is that your GPU is 'quietly' cooking itself to an early grave!
[N.B. This is why I often recommend installing MSi Afterburner for Nvidia cards as it monitors your card temp and usually allows you to control the fan speed as you like.]
So, with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, you can 'pop the lid' off your graphics card and do it the same favour as your CPU with similar results and no risk of shorting SMCs (surface mounted components).
E.G. My GTX 980 Ti seemed to be running pretty hot so I applied Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut to the GPU on that (leaving everything else alone apart from a little cleaning) and reduced the temp by 10-15c on average.
So. in summary, Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut is VERY expensive compared to Arctic Silver 5 and other popular pastes. But, after careful comparison, the price for 5.5grams of it makes it much cheaper.
If you don't mind the price, just buy it! It's fabulous at what it does!
P.S. DO follow the application instructions for ALL pastes, which change depending on your CPU!

Windows 10: Truly The Best Windows Ever
1 of 2 found this helpful Easiest Windows to install with frequent opportunities to adjust your privacy settings and choose what you send to Microsoft. Hardware drivers are almost a thing of the past, although some wireless adaptors seem not to be covered (especially USB ones) in my experience. Mind you, if there are Windows 10 drivers supplied by your hardware vendors, you just might need to install them to get full functionality or iron out a problem.
On the negative side, the tendancy for Windows 10 to push me toward potentially chargeable "apps", especially for things that were previously not a problem, is frustrating. I mean, for example, that the photo viewer in Windows 10 does not seem to be reliable and sometimes get pictures the wrong way up or messes up the aspect ratio. This may just be a problem on one particular installation of mine, however, I NEVER had this problem with the old picture viewer on Windows 7 across dozens of installations.
All-in-all though, Windows 10 is better, usually faster and a doddle to install compared to previous versions. Definitely recommended, just remember to be bothered to check you privacy settings.

OXFORD STORMEX Motorcycle Cover - Good for a Year!?
1 of 1 found this helpful A great cover spoilt by poor quality construction and materials.
This cover has great features but simply doesn't last long enough for the Recommended Retail Price to make you happy. J&S have sold these at a good price though, which was about two thirds of RRP in the past.
They have great features including a soft lining, vents in the mirror corners, chain holes, lock pockets, clear windows for a solar panel and for revealing the number plate and a belly strap.
However, after a year, the seam taping starts falling off and the clear windows cloud, split and then break up. This is such a waste considering that the main material stays good for long after.
In my opinion OXFORD should forget the clear windows improve the quality and reduce the RRP.
Photos attached show my latest cover after 18 months.
