DXG DXG-581V
1 of 1 found this helpful My Canon digital camera was dropped on a marble floor and is now toast. I wanted to try a digital camcorder, but was on a budget because of the nearing Christmas season. So...I thought this DXG model might just be a good "tryout" model for me. The price was right, the condition was good with all the extras, so I made my purchase. Being a newbie into the camcorder world this probably was a good choice for me, since I'm just trying to get acquainted with the features and still needed a point a shoot still camera also.
Haven't been disappointed with the DXG for a easy to understand control feature set, as well as it's very small size. The battery lasts great for about 2 days of mild shooting. Throw in a few mini videos and another battery or charge is needed. But since my purchase included an extra battery that has not been an issue. The quality of the photos are quite acceptable and low light conditions didn't seem to hamper this camera. It does have a mini flash, but I have not used it yet.
Easy to transfer over to a PC with the included cord and you can preview on the unit for both video and pix or just connect to a flat screen HDTV via the HDMI port.
All in all for a beginner camcorder this has fit the bill for me. If I want to upgrade to a more substantial model, I'm not out alot of $$.

Maybe glass is better.
I purchased this Alpha Glass cellphone screen protector for my HTC One M9. As a previous owner of a plastic screen protector, I had high hopes for a glass product. Before my purchase I checked reviews and went to the manufacturer's website to do some investigating. It seemed like I needed to bone up the a few technical terms relating to glass, like hardness and scratch strength.
Unpacking the box was unremarkable. The usual screen cleaner cloth and protected product. Directions were simple, just lay it on your screen and let the glass surfaces meld into one. It pretty much was a painless process. I did remove it once to realign. A dust free room or environment, short of a "clean room" was necessary. NO bubble problems, just smooth it out with a clean finger or palm. I can't even hardly see it on my phone. Finally, I bet I can scratch it, if I really wanted to, but I don't.
Works and looks(if you can see it) great. Would buy another one for sure. Just feel safer with a screen protector on a $500 phone. yep.

Could be better sound quality.
I know these songs were "mastered" in the 1960-70s but some songs sound like they were recorded on a portable cassette player. I gave this CD 4 of 5 stars for that reason. True Seekers fans may be the only persons who buy this CD, and then only a partial list of songs might be familiar. Many of these songs did not make it to the US shores as big hits, while others were not heard at all.
This compilation seems to be hastily made, without concern for remastering. I'm sure those tapes are somewhere for them to copy from. All in all I am able to hear the tunes I was interested in, with the convenience of playing on my car CD player. I will be look for another CD version that might have better sound quality for my future purchases.
