"American Idol" alumnus
White was one of the standout singer-songwriters on "AI" and continues to show her talent with some original holiday songs here. I would have preferred more of them, since Christmas albums have become so repetitive over the years. Thus the 4-star rating. If you like Carole King/Carly Simon type singing, you'll love this CD.

One of their best
EBTG has wavered between slow and mid-tempo pop (sometimes directionless), but this CD finds the duo laser-focused. Standout tunes include "Driving," "Get Back Together," "My Baby Don't Love Me" and "The Road," but many other treats may be found among the ten tracks. For fans of smooth pop.

Among her best albums
Loreena McKennitt may have been doing this a long time, but she hasn't lost her gift for songwriting. In fact, this album ranks among her best, with tuneful songs you will be humming long after the disc ends.
