Value for money as a phone
3 of 3 found this helpful Hopefully this review adds detail. From ebay the general price you pay for it makes this phone good value. By contrast I don't like the 5310, yes it's slimmer but it feel more fragile than this. The slide is good because it stops it randomly dialling numbers when in your pocket, the automatic lock helps too, and to date has not managed to unlock itself! For taking pictures for sending as MMS its not bad, good low light level abilities, if you zoom the overall size is reduced of course but you have a proper digital camera already (don't you?) this is for those times you want something quick or MMS.
It takes a micro SD up to 2 gig and using a standard small USB can be used as a storage device, plain and simple. If they are music files then sure you can listen to them on the phone and the quality is more than acceptable. I also loaded up a few jar applications, e.g. i have a bluetooth GPS and i put on a GPS tracker, and sure enough it works quite well. also a few games. for internet access, well a computer is preferable.
for using as a phone, call quality, texting, navigation around the features, using the calendar / reminders, the alarm it works very well. more lightweight than a PDA and my device of choice for organising things, and birthdays. it also has timed profiles, so if you want to select certain callers only within certain hours etc. this is all accessible.
battery life is not too bad, on mostly standby you can expect 4-5 days, using it obviously reduces this, one niggle is that the camera and video does not operate on low battery. i bought (again from ebay) an additional battery to switch over to when i want, but i find the rear battery cover a bit fiddly to fit back. you can get alternative colour "skins" too if black does not suit. from ebay i also bought a snug case with a magnetic catch. it also has a press stud "lock flap" to securely hold this onto your belt, yet another reason i like this phone.
overall i'm quite happy with it, the software which supports it is quite good and allowed me easily to content copy from my old nokia. this was a phone i bought that if i didn't like it, i'd resell. but i'm keeping it!

high quality adapter
bought this as i got the laptop without a mains adapter, and it works perfectly. looks very similar to the OEM and is the same specification. it doesn't come with the cloverleaf shaped mains cable but you can get those if you need them, but if you are replacing a failed adapter you will already have one of course.

Very effective pop filter
My speech is very breathy and I can pop any microphone even with a foam wind shield, but the mesh filters are pretty effective for me. This one is different in that rather than be on a stalk, it is fastened to the capsule itself and has a lower profile as a result. I'm using this with a large diaphragm condenser (S1105) and this filer is as effective as any of the large round mesh types.
I am very impressed with it. Its a non reflective grey metal mesh and it does not affect the frequency pickup. It is supplied with a pair of elastic strings that are strung between supports built into the filter. Depending on your microphone you may need to experiment with positioning and mounting. I decided to place this over the existing foam wind shield and its 100% effective with my Ps and Bs even very close micing.
In summary a great alternative to traditional mesh filters.
