Fit 2011-2015 Ford Explorer Aluminum Black Car Roof Cross Bar Luggage Cargo Rack

Decent alternative to OEM, but be prepared to take care of a few things

I couldn't find the OEM cross bars in stock anywhere, so I picked these because they looked the closest to the OEM version. Honestly they are pretty decent, but had a few drawbacks that I was able to work around. 1 - The screws included to attach the end plastic pieces to the bars are too small. They flat out just fall through the hole and were useless. I ended up going to a hardware store and buying 6 stainless steel self-tapping bolts instead, which worked great. 2 - I had a horrible time getting the brackets started into the roof side rails. Upon further inspection I noticed that there was extra plastic from the injection molding process in the way. A razor knife and file cleaned that up and I was able to get them started. 3 - The included instructions are worthless. Someone took the instructions from the OEM Ford set, shrunk them down to 20%, and I think copied them 10 times until they were illegible. They should have saved the piece of paper. Go to YouTube and find one of the several good installation videos that nice folks have posted. Overall, they are good quality, minus the finishing-touch glitches. They look good and seem to be stable.
