Best value/performance intake on the market for a Twin Cam
awesome product - let your twin cam 88 breathe like it deserves! This intake is the best value in the industry and outperforms the harley stage 1 kit, which pricier. My twin cam runs cooler, and develops far better power, plus it sounds a helluva lot better with a real exhaust. Its a travesty that harley neuters its bikes out of the factory, but I'm glad I found the Arlen Ness big sucker to fix what should have been fixed from the factory. Big thumbs up for the big sucker A++

Beautiful detail, picky about tracks, a nice product for very experienced modelers
Kato's gunderson cars are absolutely beautifully detailed miniature works of art. Ditto for the SDP40F locomotive- detail is stunning, and the paint and decals are applied perfectly, with meticulous detail. As far as look, fit and finish, kato is a top notch product. As far as durability, N scale trains are not toys, and not durable as in kids playthings - that should be obvious, by nature of what N scale is. I am a very experienced modeler, and I appreciate the detail and finish of these remarkable trains. having said that, they are very very picky in regards to track -- Even unitrack. I have a highly detailed 5 train uni-track layout, and ironically, these gundersons actually run better on single-track unitrack, as opposed to the double track banked/elevated unitrack set -- This was contrary to what I thought would be the case!! I figured the banked unitrack would be most forgiving to these gundersons as far as running, BUT, they had numerous problems with uncouplings, derailments and articulated-uncouplings simply because the easement sections do not line up perfectly with the flat/straight sections at the rail joints. For reference NONE of my other n-scale models have any problems at all - they run great, don't uncouple and the longer cars Do like the banked curves, as expected. BUT, the gundersons are different - they require ABSOLUTE flat rail-joints, and my banked unitrack does not provide this, despite the easement sections for transitions -- I still don't understand this, and I'm open to the fact that maybe I've done something wrong, but I dont think so, and to support that, not a single one of my other trains have issues with the banked set. On the other hand, the gundersons run great on the single-track Uni runs of my layout (there are three of those) and they are incredibly cool to watch run, and do not have the issues that they do on the banked. As far as elevated sections, I have not bothered to even try elevations, due to the trouble I've had with the banked set -- I figured if they have trouble with a barely/slightly non-uniform rail joint, there's just no way they're Not going to uncouple going up 3.5-4 degree incremental elevations -ergo I have run them unswitched on the flat sections and they do great. I recommend these gundersons highly, as long as it's to an exeperience modeler and Not to be used as a toy, which N scale is not, and never has been. If you'e looking for superb detail and realistic life-like containers and cars to carry them double-stacked, the kato's are equal to the walthers, both of which (in my humble opinion) are best in class. I hope this info is helpful to those looking to add container-cars to their n layouts.
