A product that actually works.
I have been using 3 products in the Jan Marini Bioclear/Bioglycolic range since July 2014 and will not use anything else. I started using them in preparation for the FX CO2 FRACTIONAL LASER treatment; as only clear skin can be treated due to the intensity of the lasers (they literally burn a layer of your facial skin off in the process - you can even smell it). Initially my skin did get worse as the skin needed to clear the build up and this was drawn out by the products; so you will need to be patient for a few months. Also it is important to use the products twice a day - if you skip a day and its effectiveness is reduced, that is why. It is also important to know that the face cream (step 3) is the product that makes the biggest difference; if you just use the cleanser (step1), you are going to be disappointed with the outcome. The only other thing I use is the sun screen (step5) but only when in the sun. I ran out of product once and did not use for 6 weeks and it was like going back to square one and took probably a further 6 weeks for my skin to clear again. So do not let yourself run out. Also if you are male, make sure you use this product after you shave: wash face with warm/hot water, wet shave, wash again with hot/warm water, dry, apply the cleanser (step1), leave for 2mins, wash again thoroughly with hot/warm water ensuring all product is washed out of pours, towel dry, then apply the face cream (step3). I have found that if you are not consistent in how you use the products you will not maintain consistently clear skin. I have also found that if you have a particularly unhealthy week; lots of drinking and fatty and processed foods you cant be surprised if you have further blemishes. This products is very effective at treating and managing acne, it does not prevent or immunise your skin from what you put into or how you treat your body. I recommend working this product around other things you do in your morning/night time routine like brushing your teeth etc so that you do not find it too time consuming to bother with. I also recommend that you undergo the FX CO2 FRACTIONAL LASER treatment as this actually helps to change the nature of your skin. I am currently saving for my second treatment as the depth of some of my scars could not be reached with my first. I find that some areas where I use to get visually really bad acne (my cheeks and neck) I very rarely get a single spot and there is no scarring. However, I do find myself prone to get blemishes where my scarring is deepest (nose upper cheeks/cheekbone and forehead); again nowhere near as bad as it use to be though. It is all about maintenance and keeping up with the battle. I do hope to see a day where I stop using the products or I move to a different product (perhaps along the lines of anti-ageing as I am now approaching 30) but I do not intend to stop using this until at least 2 years after my next Laser treatment as these products actually aid the continuous effectiveness and further improvement of your skin by working with the heightened levels of collagen that have been stimulated by the laser treatment.
So in review this product is great if you use as directed and crucially; stick with it and give it time to work. Do not jump from product to product as that will only make things worse in the longer term.

Liquid Gold saved our 150-year-old Dining Table
One end of our Victorian Dining Table was really showing ware due to it being over used as a desk/workspace. The shine had gone and the rich colour of the wood had even faded. We were starting to notice thin gaps appearing within the wood. I applied Liquid Gold with a paint brush, completely covering the surface of the table and left it to soak in over night. In the morning, I used a rag to rub the excess off and to further work the Liquid Gold into the wood. The difference it made was dramatic, the shine came back, the colour is much improved and the splits/gaps have also filled in a bit. I am going to do this with all my old wooden furniture on a regular basis as old wood seems to get a bit thirsty. If you own antique wooden furniture, then Liquid Gold is a must have.
