Ok if you know what you're doing...
Buying electronic devices as old as this is always risky, even if they are "new old stock" they will need to be stripped and checked before use, capacitors replaced and circuit board checked for flux corrosion. Considering that fluorescent lamp inverters can be made from modern components very easily and that 24v LED direct replacements are available, old ballasts like this simply aren't worth the vast sums being asked for them. This one worked for ten minutes then failed; it's in the pile on my bench awaiting repair now. To be fair it was relatively cheap to buy and worth a punt.

A big container of wd40
The only way to buy wd40 if you use it a lot.

Better than you might think
Ok they are not actors. But Rossi and Parfitt are very good at being themselves, which for the most part is amusing and fun as befits their status as elder statesmen of Rock and Roll who are not Van Morrison. This movie is really not as bad as you might expect. The story is just enough to provide a vehicle for the characters but what really shines through is the beautiful island of Fiji. Quo have always generated happy, positive music that isn't pretentious and the renditions of their songs on this DVD do not disappoint. "Living on an Island"? The original single was... meh. But the version in the film raises it to a whole new position. Everyone involved is clearly enjoying it and that shines through like a beacon assisted by the landscape and the lovely local people. In summary - if you're a Quo fan, you'll love it anyway. If you're not - give it a chance, you won't hate it, you might laugh a bit and be tempted to delve into their back catalogue.
