good memories of my childhood. 1st r/c car that i had to build
i got a huge wash of good memories just now when i saw a Kyosho Rocky 4wd buggy up to bid on. the last time that i had seen that box was in 7th grade, when that and some other things got delivered that day along with it because i had poured over several tower hobbies mail order catalogs. for many months. ohh'ing and ahh'ing and just entranced or mezmerized and reading every description of each of the 2wd and 4wd buggy's. and the battle for top dog of the stadium 2wd off road buggy was between Team associate's gold colored Rc10 and the new competitor Team Losi only model. shortly after the rc10 2 came out.
regardless i got the rocky, and tower hobbies RTR Packagethat included tjered pit bag a kyosho radio a quick charger the pink mega motor. and a novak brand adjustsble speed control. any free time i had. i would be found in the basement at the worktable assembling it. it took me a bit. mainly because time wasnt available. with band choir and 4h etc. and it wisked me away from upstairs and if mom got mad. sincei was no whereinsight. i would acvidentally become a target of her verbal onslaughts. so it was like heaven and wanted to make it last as long as possible andmake surei did every step correctly. . any ways. i owned this and enjoyed it for several years. and loved . soonafter having it. i ended up buying 3 rc vehicles from a close friend who didnt want to mess with. em.
i had a tamiya monster beetle, losi jr buggy. anda gold chassis rc10. and kept all 4 of them id say. 3 years or so. then a buddy wanted into the hobby. and he had just redone his competition system in his car. and so i traded him. ive missedthe rocky the most. out of all of them. now for a couplegood reasons. id wished idkept it. 1: you cant find em. 2: now everyone wantsa kings ransom for them and maybenot even play with them
yes loved mine. many great memories. andwas idiot and accident proof.

Just got my remote a couple days earlier than expected. Which was great. Works great A+ experience.
