The Essence if Tai Chi, an advanced student's view
This is essentially a "Book of Proverbs" approach to Tai Chi, most of it is one page quotes of Tai Chi founders and Masters, Each page should be read one at a time and thought out thouroughly, For the Tai Chi instructor this would be a great book to bring out after formal training, pick out one quotation and have a discussion session. This is not a book to read once, it is a reference manual that should be studied repeatedly. This is my humble OPINION OSU

Ok
The small flat blade was a pocket screwdriver. It's ok but I was expecting a 3inch driver

The Elements of Tai Chi, an advanced students view
This is a good book for the begining to advanced student, it has lots of information, descriptions, translations and history. It should be used by the student through out thier training as it covers concepts from beginner to Sifu. As with all books of this type, while you can derive a lot of information from reading the book, it is not a replacement for classroom study and training but as a supplement to training. Your forms, the 13 basic postures, the 5 elements and Push Hands are all covered as well as Tai Chi poetry. This is my Humble OPINION... OSU.
