Good solution if you improvise
After a long search and initially ordering the wrong split boot elsewhere (due to misinformation on the internet), I came to the conclusion that this Dorman boot was the only split boot hope for my 89 Chevy 3500 4wd. Those who hate split boots due to the near impossibility of securing the tiny screws/bolts that clamp the seam together are correct. It is a hateful design. It is not hard to imagine a better design, but I suppose a modern retool isn't affordable given the limited market. I tried to use the micro-bolts provided, but quickly abandoned the idea and resorted to a small diameter galvanized wire. I could poke it through the undersized holes (undersized because the provided bolts can't be pressed through them by a normal human being) and then I twisted the wires tight. It doesn't clamp the seam quite as well as the tiny bolts might, but I had a backup plan. After cleaning the installed boot with solvent, I heavily gooped the seam with high quality Permatex gasket material, then after a two day cure, I added rubber cement over the top of the whole seam. Incidentally, the boot covers a 2" diameter on the small end, but not properly my 4" CV joint diameter on the other. On the large end, the boot seems to fit best on a 3.6" diameter, approx. But my gasket material covered the small deficiency on the large end. And, I tossed the clamps that came with the kit and used good quality hose clamps. One more thing. This part number is hard to find. Very few automotive parts suppliers stock it.

handy ramp
Easy to handle. Well-made. I use it for wheeling heavy items up/over steps.

Functions well--a necessary item for today's poorly designed gas cans
I bought two of these to replace a failed Terrapump of similar design. These are noisy, but that can actually be an advantage--you know it is pumping and when it has pumped to the bottom. I use these kinds of pumps constantly. Not sure how long it will last, but the price was right. I added a hose clamp to the slip-on hose.
