Works with Highpoint RAID Controller
Seems to work fine in a RAID 0 array with a HighPoint 2720SGL SATA III RAID controller card that does not (to the best of my knowledge) pass along TRIM commands.

5D Mark IV is the best Canon body I've ever used
2 of 2 found this helpful I moved up to the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV from Canon EOS 40D and the difference is night and day. I expected a big improvement over that good but somewhat dated body and this one exceeded my expectations.
Image quality from the 5D Mark IV is so good it is the first camera I've seen that regularly delivers images that visibly and obviously benefit both from the sophisticated detail enhancing raw conversion mode in Adobe Camera Raw, as well as being able to be processed and sharpened as much as you care to without bringing up distracting noise or artifacts. The amount of recovery you can do in a pinch to bring up dark shadowy areas or to rescue apparently blown highlights and have them look natural is great. And if you need a fast shutter in available darkness, just dial in ISO 6400 or higher and the full-frame imager delivers - you get creamy smooth results.
I was concerned that an older "keep on the camera at all times, it's that useful" 28-135 Canon zoom I got back in 2000, wouldn't be sharp enough for the higher photosite density in the 5D Mark IV, but I guess the dual sensor photosites are doing their jobs as I am surprised at the great level of detail even in the full frame 30.3 megapixel captures.
And the body is clearly built to last.
Prices have dropped in 2020 - don't stunt your photography by missing out on one of these awesome cameras.
