    disappointing
On paper [well on the screen] it looked to be a good book, but when it arrived a] it is a very small book b[while the text is well written,it does not cover nearly all of the cameras produced in that period. I was disappointed with it.

The SUPERB BRONICA "EC" medium format camera
The BRONICA "EC was introduced in 1972 and ran for about four years only, before it was superceeded. The EC range was the last of the 6cmx6cm range of cameras before the introduction of the 4.5X6 cm ETR range. I bought mine to close the gap in my extensive BRONICA collection, and will in all probability never use it [why would one when I have many of the ETR/ETRSi range which are much more modern and better equipped] but what I do like about it,and one of the reasons why it will not be used in the field is its weight. It is probably the heaviest camera in the BRONICA range. BRONICAS ,to my mind are the pinnacle of the "medium format" cameras, far more affordable and just as versatile as the "BLADS",and were made to a superbly high standard right through-out 45 year "life' of the factory and a credit to Zenzaburo Yoshina who set himself the task of producing the finest cameras in the world, from scratch and completely with his own money. his cameras had so many "firsts" in the medium size format and I love every one of them. The ONE THING I would love to know is the approximate production runs of each model, which I have never been able to access. The "EC" is now over forty years old,and whilst it is in immaculate visual and working order there will not be many still being used either in the field or in the studio mainly because they are so heavy, cumbersome and slow to set up for use.A pity because the BRONICAS,all of them, represent the highest standard of "medium Format" production ever seen, and the advent of the digital brought about an untimely end. My BRONICAS can rest in lazy luxury in an air-conditioned,de-humidified display case, where they will be cherished for the rest of my years. "RIP"
