So far so good
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this Swing-A-Way after replacing their other openers with the normal handle which didn't hold up, especially when opening #10 cans. I tried another recommended opener, and it lasted less time than the Swing-A-Way openers. I decided to give this unit, with the large handle a try. So far I have been impressed on the ease on how it handled the #10 cans, both piercing the lid and the ease of cutting with the large crank. It opened the can in short order.
My wife has opened regular cans and is quite satisfied with its performance. Time will tell on how well the cutting edge on the wheel will hold up.
After some time, the other Swing-A-Ways started to climb off the edge of the can rather than cutting the lid. This unit has longer handles which should give greater leverage to grip the can to help avoid this problem. But we've been pleased so far.

Heats quickly and looks good.
I wanted a kettle that was insulated so that if the outside was touched I wouldn't get a burn, and this kettle has that feature. It has an automatic shutoff so the water doesn't continue to boil. It has a wide lid making filling easy, however, the fill mark is only at one spot, so the kettle has to be turned in order to see it, rather than a level mark all around the inside. The kettle heats quickly and is working well.
A feature that would be nice is a water level indicator on the outside in order to see how much is left in the kettle, rather than having to open the lid to check.
