Excellent Quality and Beautiful Stitching
5 of 5 found this helpful My husband researched and bought my new 14CG754 Singer Serger to replace my beloved 25 year old Singer serger that has traveled many miles with me, even to Central America! To say I was thrilled is an understatement! It arrived within a week, perfectly packaged and I eagerly unpacked and set it up within minutes. It came threaded with multi-color thread (yea!) and stitched out a perfect stitch the very first time! I love the suction cups on the bottom that hold the machine secure, the tension dials are mounted firmly into the machine (which is a definite improvement from my old model), the free arm removed completely rather than fold down which is handy for cuffs and storage and the stitch adjustment for different weight fabrics is a big bonus. I immediately shortened 3 pairs of jeans, 3 summer dresses and a pair of leggings for my petite daughter with no problem whatsoever.
I would highly recommend this machine, not just because I am so happy to have a new machine but because I managed a Singer store and sold these machines early in my career. I sold hundreds of machines and taught as many people how to effectively use their sewing machines. It's not necessarily how many different stitches a machine has but the quality it provides that determines its value. This machine is a fantastic value and the perfect addition to my sewing studio!
