Good design and easy to install
Having bought lesser versions of this, I can say that the Rev-a-Shelf is a sturdy design made of solid wood (though probably not FSC sustainably grown). They were sent to me in a thick cardboard box separately and each had a minor bit of shipping damage. They are hidden inside the cabinets, so I am not concerned but it is a thing that happens. Installing is super easy for anyone with a drill and a lantern-style flashlight. 4 screws hold down the rail unit, then you pop the shelf on and you are done. I liked that the drawer glides were very low profile so you get maximum height in the cabinet. Others I returned because they sat up almost 2". SOmething to watch for.

Quick release hubs needed and crucial part made of plastic
After reading reviews and questions that made it seem like you could use this with regular hubs, I ordered one. The thing is definitely heavy-duty and all the parts were there, but when I saw that quick release pin drop out of the box, I knew I was going to have to struggle with it. I couldn't get my wheel to sit in it well and the tire was so off center that it was rubbing on the plastic housing and the thing was janky while I rode. Speaking of plastic: The hinge used to hold the metal flywheel is plastic and not rigid enough. I finally gave up trying to make it work and sent it back, which cost me about half of what this cost. Ouch.

No noticeable improvment
Good case and protection but the extra reception part seems like fantasy. I notice no improvement.
