Z640 processor card
Not much tonsay, it works and gives you the second cpu slot and 4 extra dimm slots. Pricey and no alternatives away. Make sure you get the pci bracket that is required to hold it in place.

Works well and not expensive
It does what it is supposed to do. Reasonably priced and it works properly on a Mac. Other than bring a bit bulky but something you would leave on your desk.

Samsung 960 Pro
So I will make this brief. No argument the current hands down best NVMe drive available today both in technology and perrformance. But be prepared to pay for it especially at the larger sizes. Clearly Samsung is a leader when it comes to ram/memory devices. In my HP z840 this drive hits 3400MB/s read and 2400MB/s write with a 2TB version. If you have the money and can afford it then go for it. There are cheaper but none better.
